Inspiring audiences through the art of ringing

Community School of the Arts (CSA) invites music students to broaden the scope of their musical talents by learning the skill of handbell ringing. Ringing handbells inspires musicality and develops advanced listening and rhythmic skills, while providing a venue for collaboration and fun. Students develop confidence, leadership skills, and friendships as they rehearse and perform together.

We offer a graded program of instruction:

Playing on four octaves of Malmark bells, our ensembles have performed in Noyes’ Fludde at Symphony Center and the AGEHR Young Ringers’ Festival, as well as many community events. Students progress through three levels of instruction:

CSA Ringers 1 – beginning ringers
CSA Ringers 2 – intermediate ringers
Handbell Ensemble – advanced ringers

Weekly rehearsals are held on Saturday mornings. We also offer a summer program during which students can learn how to play chimes or handbells.
