early childhood program
Early Childhood is the most influential time in your child’s life
As you and your child sing, create and play together, the dynamic parent-child bond naturally grows stronger and deeper. Children who participate in early childhood arts build a foundation that prepares them for the next step in their arts educations. Study in the arts cultivates attitudes and skills fundamental to the entire learning process. Our music program is outlined below. Please visit our Visual Arts Program for information on Early Childhood Art.
The Early Childhood Music program at the Community School of the Arts (CSA) provides early music development for children from birth through 7 years old, based on Kindermusik and Musikgarten curricula. Our curriculum is designed to stimulate a genuine appreciation of music and strengthen intellectual as well as musical aptitude. These classes are highly recommended as a solid foundation for instrument lessons and further musical study.
As your child progresses through our graduated Early Childhood Music program, s/he is introduced to a progression of musical concepts, terminology, and instruments. Each of our Early Childhood Music faculty members holds a degree in music and has over a decade of experience teaching music to young children. They are experts at creating classroom environments that are both nurturing and fun. Our small class sizes allow faculty members to connect with each child and parent to convey the importance of musical development through activities designed to stimulate vocal, rhythmic, and creative growth using developmentally appropriate materials.
Now experiencing the arts is even more affordable and fun! Take advantage of our combo rate and sign up for both music and art on the same morning - and save!
