cello Lessons
What is the second largest instrument of the string family?
The cello is the second-largest instrument of the string instrument family, next to the double bass, and has a lower, more resonant pitch than the violin or viola. It is primarily used in orchestra and chamber ensemble playing, and has existed in its current form since the mid-1500s. At the Community School of the Arts (CSA), we offer the opportunity to study the cello beginning at age 5 in both the Suzuki and traditional methods through private lessons, group classes, and chamber ensemble participation. Go to Suzuki Program or Preparatory (Traditional) Program for information on cello lessons.
